Vietnamese Chicken Roti @ Northshore Empress
Vietnamese rotisserie chicken is roasted whole to a deep brown-orange color.then cut into two halves. You get one of these halves, along with a dark, intense brown sauce with a bit of pepper and a lot of soy sauce and some fried rice. The flavors are more interesting than you find in Chinese-style fried chicken. It's one of the best offerings of this half-Vietnamese, half-Chinese restaurant, well hidden down Louis Prima Drive, sort of behind the more obvious Copeland's. The owners are actually Vietnamese, and that food is the better part of the menu. [caption id="attachment_44553" align="alignnone" width="480"] Chicken roti @ Northshore Empress[/caption]
