Seared Sea Scallops, Bacon, Wild Rice @ Orleans Grapevine
The Grapevine looks more like a wine bar than a full-fledged restaurant, but that is pure illusion. The menu is not only comprehensive but extensive and ambitious. Among the better dishes is a trio of enormous sea scallops, wrapped with straps of Nueske's famous bacon, and set atop wild rice. The rice adds something new and fine to these nice, meaty bivalves.
