I always want a pizza when I come here, but I’m often distracted by the chef’s tasting menu, which seems to have been posted here by mistake, so ambitious and good is it. Solution: have the pizza as an appetizer with at least a couple of other people. The pizzas here are thin-crusty, New York-style jobs baked in stone-bed oven hot enough to do the job. Some combinations are as a assertive as they are good–the prosciutto, gorgonzola and arugula pie, for example. But even the basic red or white pies are first-class. Better wines than most other pizza places.
