Tampico steak is such a popular dish in that central Mexican city that arguments often begin over whose is the best and what’s the right way to serve it. Around New Orleans, the leader in the former matter is Casa Garcia, where the steak is a thick slice of filet mignon, seared with a spicy marinade, and sent out with a cheese enchilada.
