“That’s really good,” said the waitress. “It’s panneed chicken over angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce. It’s one of our most popular dishes. And it’s named for me!” Lindsay is second generation of the Mandina family, the part of it that that owns Tony Mandina’s in Gretna. (No connection with the Mandina’s on Canal Street.) I told Lindsay that she’d sold me on the dish. “Oh, don’t order it just because it’s my name!” she said. Whatever my motivation was, I found the platter wonderful.
