Summer's Here. Where Is Coolinary?

FoodFAQsQ. I haven't heard anything about the Coolinary summertime special menus for this year. I always look forward to those. Is there going to be a Coolinary this year at all? A. The Coolinary--a promotion organized by the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau--always has been amonth-of-August event. Many restaurants offer summertime specials on their own, usually beginning in late June or early July. Those get mixed up with the Coolinary. To make things even more confusing (although in a good way), the menus run by the restaurants on their own are often exactly the same ones that they offer during the official Coolinary month. And some of thos emenus keep on going well into September. In other words, don't worry--Coolinary is coming on August 1. Most of the participating restaurants will have complete lunches for $20-25, and dinners at $30-35. NOMenu will feature both the Coolinary menus and the freelance summer specials in our daily emailings and on the NOMenu home page. The official Coolinary website, which has links to all the menus, is here. [divider type=""]
