EatingNowSquare [title type="h3"]Arnaud's Gives Corkage Amnesty All Summer. And, Next Door. . . [/title] It may be my imagination, but it seems to me that Arnaud's is becoming more promotion-minded lately. They've always had wine dinners and summer specials and the like. But the following two offers for the warm months are exceptional. First off, if you dine at the 97-year-old restaurant during the summer, you are welcome to bring in your own wine with zero corkage fee. Ever since John Besh put an end to that policy in his places, there haven't been any gratis corkage policies in any major restaurants. As if the food and service over there isn't enough to make for a a great evening. Arnauds-ShrimpArnauds Arnaud's casual side--Remoulade, around the corner from Arnaud's entrance, on Bourbon Street--is a much better place to eat than it appears. The tiled, mirrored room has an oyster bar, poor boys, and lots of dishes from the main restaurants. Including, of course, shrimp Arnaud, their spectacular take on remoulade. If you go to Remoulade before six p.m. any afternoon, you'll find a selection of seven classic shrimp dishes (barbecue shrimp, shrimp Creole, shrimp bisque, and four others). each of these is paired with a cocktail created specifically for that dish. And the cocktail is free! Both promotions go on through the summer--and the definition of summer is subject to how soon the doldrums last. FleurDeLis-4-Small
