Annals Of Responsibility
This is Election Day, as you did not need to be told. Election Day in New Orleans, like most things, has a difference. In many, if not most, places in America, the bars are closed on Election Day. Not here. We think that's as it should be, especially this year. You might need a drink to get you through making this choice. And, since feelings are so high on both sides, you might need another one to help calm you down after the results are seen. A long time ago, when he taught us American History at the University of New Orleans, Richard Collin--better known to most New Orleanians as The Underground Gourmet--posited that no presidential election is decided until after the World Series. I expect he might be right about that this time around.
