It was good to be back in our respective chairs as a twosome. Tom talked about his food at Manresa, where he spent the last few days of last week. Then yes, the subject moved to Thanksgiving, because it is Thanksgiving week. But it was also an especially good almanac today, and we wound up talking about Pittsburgh-style steaks, baking your own bread, and Brussels sprouts. Tom liked my use of the word "antithetical," and he spent the rest of the show trying to reuse it. All of this with a few scoldings from Doug.
And we talked about our visit to Pyre Provisions, a new and very promising restaurant on the north shore.
