Chicken Livers With Pepper Jelly @ Praline Connection
The story behind this dish is that the kitchen got busy one day, and a batch of fried chicken livers fell into a bowl of thinned-out pepper jelly destined for another dish. Owner Curtis Moore started picking them out, and popped a few into his mouth while doing so. The flavor stopped him in his tracks. And thus was born the most popular appetizer at this terrific homestyle Creole restaurant, on the edge of the French Quarter. The dish is such a specialty that the Praline Connection sells hundreds of orders every year at the Jazz Festival.
