The show started with an explanation of the previous day’s troubles, which continued throughout this show, with skipping in the phone line. We talked of Barrow’s Catfish and Pyre Provisions, and the upcoming Taste of Covington.
But mostly I spent time on my soapbox talking about a list someone sent me about the 30 “best” restaurants in New Orleans, as reported by a millennial from Britain. I ranted about the space that Molly’s Rise and Shine took from Mr. B’s and all the Grande Dames. That would be fine if it was targeted to millennials, but this was mainstream Conde Nast Traveler. If someone sent me to these places when I had only three days in New Orleans, that would be a shame. I wonder what concierges locally say about this list.
