A Magic Elixir? Maybe

The guys at The Creole Creamery agree with the old adage it’s important to keep a sense of humor in times such as these. They are offering a new sorbet flavor called Doc Toddy’s Frozen Throat Elixir. It’s a tongue-in-cheek homage to the old snake oil remedies of the 19th century. Ice Cream is good for whatever ails you emotionally, and people tend to seek it out in times like these. Since dairy isn’t the best remedy for a sore throat, Bryan the Creamery Wizard whipped out a concoction of lemon, honey, ginger, eucalyptus, cider vinegar, and bourbon.

No health claims to a cure for what ails you, but they do promise it will soothe and relieve a sore throat. Their slogan for it: It’s more fun than a lozenge!
