EatingNowSquare-150x150 [title type="h3"]Emeril's Is 25, And Celebrating With Nostalgic Menus.[/title] This summer marks a quarter-century of taking care of business at Emeril's. Think back: it was hard to get a reservation, all the diners were locals, and Emeril himself was there. (Because he wasn't a television personality yet.) Emerils-Ext To celebrate this milestone, Emeril's flagship restaurant on Tchoupitoulas and Julia has a series of special menus, made of dishes that were popular when the restaurant first opened. The prices, unfortunately, do not revert to the back pages. Still, it's interesting. Here's what's going on this week:

Amuse bouche
Creole corn cakes, choupique caviar, chive crème fraîche

Potatoes Alexa $14
Twice baked new potatoes, truffle emulsion, parmesan, chive

Shrimp Remoulade Parfait $14
Avocado, tomato, shaved lettuces

Lobster and Corn Chowder $14

Fried Oyster Salad $13
Frisée, arugula, Pernod dressing, house cured bacon

Blue Cheese Glazed Filet Mignon $44
Roasted new potatoes, haricots verts, house cured bacon, Emeril’s worcestershire sauce

Gulf Fish En Papillote $36

Cane Syrup and Pecan Bread Pudding $8
Espresso anglaise

Goat Cheesecake $9
Preserved orange sauce

This program will continue for the next three weeks, with a new menu every week.
