The most common and popular recipe for snails has the gastropods sizzling in garlic-parsley butter. The butter is the main draw, with its aroma and affinity with hot French bread. The latter turns what is really a small appetizer into something close to a full meal, as the eaters decimate a loaf of bread with their dunking into the sauce and eating. But how wonderful that is!
