Cooler Than Normal Rotisserie.

More work was backed up at home than at the radio station, so I stayed in my little office and plowed through it.

Mary Ann said that the only way she would go to dinner with me would be if we went to Zea, where she could eat a salad. That sounded okay. I'm still feeling an urge to eat their barbecue chicken, after seeing it at the next table a couple of weeks ago. That one was striped with char, even though most of the cooking was on the rotisserie.

Barbecue chicken at Zea.

My own specimen of this half-bird had walked across the hot grill on its tiptoes, and too quickly. No dark stripes on this one. Nor was the meat inside especially hot. This is the second time such a thing has happened to me here. Whoever is in charge of the rotisserie maybe ought to take a look at the procedure.

Back at the ranch, I worked on the newsletters I will publish for my fellow cruisers when we sail out of New York next week. It won't be as much work as usual. We followed more or less this same itinerary twice before, and I have all my notes.

I read somewhere that some people have an insatiable urge to write, and that the phenomenon is growing. Everybody who writes a blog about anything develops a compulsion to issue new copy every day. Mary Ann has this with her Suzie Homemaker blog, an outgrowth of her book, The Suzie Homemaker Chronicles." But I am certainly not one to throw stones at anyone else who writes too much. This very paragraph proves that.
