On Yesterday's Show....

My description of Monday evening's festivities included a burger, which led Tom into his own protracted discussion about his least favorite topic. That led us to one of my least favorite topics, his mischief while ordering at Bud’s Broiler in the carefree days of his youth.

Tom continued this hamburger chatter all by himself, remembering the aptly named Burger Joint behind the curtain at the Parker Hotel (formerly Le Parker Meridien) in Manhattan.

Somehow the conversation took a sharp turn to St Claude’s eating scene and an admonishment from a caller about my disdain of this restaurant microcosm. I promised to be better by visiting Hotel Peter and Paul’s little patio Elysian Bar in the spring with a more adventuresome spirit. The conversation ended with me also promising a favorite cohost Don Clement that I will also try his canned jambalaya.

A somewhat lively show.
