Back To Acme, Back To Work.

We are all trying to adjust to being back in the standard routine. I am horribly behind, even after working the whole weekend. Someday, I hope I can take a vacation without having to put in twice as many hours getting ready and catching up as I do "relaxing." On the other hand a lot of people would say that even when I'm hardest at work, I'm on vacation relative to the way other people work.

Mary Leigh announced in late morning that it has been too long since she had her favorite wedge salad with blue cheese, at the Acme Oyster House in Covington. I guess she had a pit in her stomach now that The Boy has returned to his classes on the South Shore.

The Acme sounded good to me. I like their red beans; today's Monday, and that's the law. With hot sausage on top. Mary Ann's lunch was the usual weird attempt to eat light: a lima bean and andouille soup and an order of cole slaw.

And then I realized that we almost always go to the Acme when we return from a trip out of town. Sometimes on the way home from the airport. Ah, the comforts of one's hometown cooking!
