Shine On Harvest Moon

In light of the fact that this Friday the 13th is also the night of the Harvest Moon, we thought it might be fun to suggest great places to see this special moon. The Harvest Moon is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox, which happens September 23nd. It’s rare for a full moon to occur on Friday the 13th. The next one will be in 2049. So a Harvest Moon on a Friday the 13th is extra special. It will also be a micromoon, the opposite of the supermoon. The moon will be in “apogee”, a position farthest from Earth. A supermoon is especially large because it is closest to the Earth.So even though this moon will appear smaller, it will definitely be special.
