Yesterday's Birthday Show...

It was Tom’s birthday yesterday and I started the show by inviting people to call in and gush over Tom. We got a few calls like that, but most of the gushing was done by two separate groups of women from the cluster of Entercom stations who came into the studio to sing Happy Birthday. It was sweet and we both loved it. And Ron our board op found a version to play as background. Tom and I reminisced about the old days pre-Katrina when he played an adorable old radio jingle for all birthdays. "Who's Birthday Is This?" was a catching little tune. We miss it and I tried to sing it.

Birthday lunch was at Pascal’s Manale, and it took me a while to get through the report of that. We kept getting diverted by calls.

We talked a little bit about oysters because it was National Oyster Day. Considering Tom’s passion for oysters, it was a surprisingly short topic.
