I never liked peanut butter pie until I had the one at Feelings. Their version takes all the disagreeable aspects (gooiness, heaviness, saltiness) and replaces them with lightness and delicacy. Whoever dreamed up this recipe (it's been there almost since the restaurant's 1970s origin) may have based it on the "French silk" pie, which is essentially chocolate mousse in a pie shell. This genius took the concept one step farther by creating a pie that has layers of both pies. Wonderful.
