Pythian Market has always been a perfect place to hang with friends when everyone has different tastes. With several different food vendors all under one roof, the downtown food hall allows everyone to get something different and share a meal together. Now, in these strange times where friends can no longer sit under one roof and share a meal together, the market has gotten creative with ways to still serve its customers and drive business to its food vendors.
To start, Pythian is now offering a free in-house delivery service for all of its vendors from 12PM-8PM Monday through Saturday. They’ve set up an easy-to-use online ordering system that allows you to browse the options by food type or vendor and add directly to your cart, so you can curate your ideal meal and support multiple businesses at once.
If that’s not fabulous enough for you, they’ve opened their delivery service up to local artisans who may not be able to offer delivery themselves. So far, St. James Cheese Co. and Piety and Desire Chocolate have been added to the ranks. If a cheese course and a chocolate bonbon aren’t two perfect bookends to a meal, I don’t know what is.
The owners of Pythian Market are well-versed in adapting to crisis, and are going back to their roots, 9/11, when in the shadow of the felled towers they fed thousands of people working in the disaster from a hotel kitchen nearby. They are back in that mode now with the ability to feed large groups of construction workers or hospital staffers, cranking out up to 600 meals per hour. Their delivery service and ability to accommodate large orders, even at odd hours, makes them a great choice large scale food orders as well.
Currently, their food vendors are 14 Parishes, Anna Marie Shrimp, Bar 1908, Eat Well, Kais, La Cocinita, Meribo, Piety and Desire Chocolate, PM Burger, St. James Cheese, and Willie Mae’s. Read more about them here.
