Restaurant Week: Four Courses, $38, Tivoli & Lee.

Tivoli & Lee is a new restaurant in a location that most New Orleans history buffs will guess quickly. Lee Circle--whose antebellum name was Tivoli Circle--is the place. (Inside the Modern Hotel pins it down exactly.)Restaurant Week is the occasion, with 48 restaurants offering three-course dinners for $39, more or less. A dollar less, in this case. And a dessert more. The idea is to give you a chance to sample some new properties you may not have tried, at a price that removes most risk. The Restaurant Week menu gives you a pretty good idea of what Tivoli & Lee is up to:

Fettuccine With Turtle
Squid ink pasta, grape tomatoes, pickled quail eggs, sherried red beans
~or~

Ravioli with Duck Confit
Smoked onion broth, pork belly marmalade, pepper jelly
~~~~~
Crispy Pig Ear Salad
Arugula, cherry tomatoes, and bone marrow vinaigrette
~or~
Deviled Egg
Smoked Gulf fish and crispy capers
~~~~~

Poké Salad
Tuna, blue crab, shrimp, radishes, green tomatoes, radishes, mint, cilantro, carrots, avocados
~~~~~
Smoked Ham Hock
Mac and cheese, chow chow and watermelon BBQ sauce
~~~~~

Blueberry, basil and lemonade sorbet

A list of all the restaurants taking part in Restaurant Week, with links to their menus, is here. You have until the end of this week.
