SummerDiningSpecials [title type="h3"] Rue 127 Pulls Its Best Dishes Into Coolinary.[/title] The bad (but not very) bad news about this great little bistro's take on the Coolinary is that you can't get it on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Monday through Thursday makes up for that. Chef Ray Gruezke gives us three choices in three courses, and all of them rank among the best dishes not only in the restaurant, but in Mid-City as a whole. I think you''ll agree this is a nice package for $39:

Shrimp and Watermelon Salad Hand pulled mozzarella cheese, pickled shallots, cantaloupe sorbet
~or~

Duck Tamales
Duck confit, ancho chiles, crema
~or~

Watermelon and Cucumber Gazpacho
Mint creme fraiche
~~~~~
Pork Tenderloin
Housemade bacon, crispy polenta, whole grain mustard, sautéed apples
~or~
Gulf Fish
Citrus, bacon broth, mussels, grapefruit and frisee salad
~~~~~

Burger with House Fries
Choice of bacon, cheddar cheese, and fried egg or kimchi, sambal aioli, and pickled carrots
~or~

Milk and Cookies
House cookie of the day
~or~

Sorbet of the Day
~or~

Bread Pudding
Butter pecan ice-cream

Reservations are more essential than usual, because the restaurant is small and it's too hot to eat at the sidewalk tables (unless it cools off a lot very soon).
