Eating At Home Is Not Enough.
Most of my day went to the miscellaneous jobs that one must perform when one publishes a large website. Still looking for an assistant, but nobody want to do it.
Mary Ann said she wanted to cook at home today. She marinated chicken breasts (the default protein for all her cooking) in Maui sauce, a marinade the guy who owns Bear's gave her. She loves it. I don't get much out of it.
What came out of all this was overcooked grilled chicken (not a mistake: MA likes it that way) a bunch of vegetables, and a salad. The latter was made with something I've never seen before, although I like the idea: cole slaw made by shredding squash, zucchini, carrots, and other vegetables that cab be grated into strips.
MA was satisfied with this meal, and managed to stay that way until she announced an unexpected new hunger around six. I probably could have lived without another meal, filling in the gaps with toast or something. But the next thing I knew we were off to La Carreta for the Marys' overabundance of chips, salsa, and choriqueso. And she wonders why it's so hard for us to lose weight.
