Virgil had it right: “Tempus fugit.” It does indeed. It’s been sixteen years since the old McKenzie’s building on Prytania became The Creole Creamery, a delicious old-fashioned ice cream parlor full of ice cream flavors that are anything but old-fashioned.
Owners David Bergeron and Bryan Gilmore were lifelong friends who partnered to introduce New Orleans to innovative flavors of ice cream with a high butterfat content. They change constantly at the whim of Bryan, who is always creating exciting tastes with unusual and seasonal ingredients.
Tomorrow is a great chance to try them. To celebrate their Sweet Sixteen, The Creole Creamery will have $1 scoops of ice cream, or $2 for two scoops. This is a real value for premium ice cream like this.
Help them celebrate at both locations, tomorrow only.
