August means Coolinary in New Orleans, and now the north shore wants in on the fun. Prix Fixe menus for lunch, dinner, and brunch will be offered by some of St. Tammany’s finest restaurants from August 1st through the 31st.
Prices for two and three-course meals fall into the $20-$30 range. Some of the participating restaurants are Annadele’s Plantation, Cafe Lynn, Dakota, Del Porto, Gallagher’s, Hambone, Lola, Oxlot 9, Palmettos, The Wine Garden, and more. There is a calendar of other fun culinary events too, like Abita Beer’s North Shore Food Truck Round-Up on August 2nd, and “Bubbles & Bites” Bubbly Wine Fest hosted by Del Porto Ristorante on August 29th. Bella Cucina La Cornue Cooking School offers an open house on Saturdays in August, with artisan baking demos, and complimentary house-made bakery items, small bites and wine.
