In case you're just joining us, this year's Coolinary series of summer menus ended a week ago. It was replaced by Limbo Week, when a lot of specials are running but no central information source is there to get the word out. That brings us to this week, and We Live To Eat Restaurant Week. Organized by the Louisiana Restaurant Association (which gets the blame for the name), Restaurant Week offers three-course dinners for $39 in all the participating restaurants. Some places also have a $20 lunch special. For the most part, the menus are the same as the ones we saw during the August-long Coolinary. So a very good deal. Here's the list of all forty-eight of the restaurants participating. Reservations are a good idea, if only to check to make sure that the special menu is indeed running. (Not many problems there, but it has happened that a restaurant may be sold out for the evening.) I have given one or two » symbols denoting restaurants I' think are of particular note.
