Jambalaya 101.
Mary Ann is a jambalaya fan. She goes to the Jazz Festival just to eat jambalaya (she has zero interest in music). She orders the dish everywhere she encounters it, unless it's proven bad in the past.
Yet, she makes jambalaya at home out of a box. Her favorite jambalaya mix is Tony Chachere's, which she says is much better than Zatarain's. On the other hand, she's never satisfied with what comes out. She wasn't today, when she made a batch of jambalaya with still more of what appears to be an inexhaustible supply of leftover grilled chicken and andouille from who knows how long ago.
And that was the extent of my eating today. I didn't think about it too much, what with the usual Wednesday overload, and having to get my Friday work done early so I can have my final foot surgery then.
During the radio show, the temperature at the Cool Water Ranch as shown on my computer screen reached 101 degrees. Two weeks ago, we were awakening to temps in the forties. If the person who's jiggling the thermostat is reading this: Cut it out!
