Restaurant R’evolution opened to much fanfare in the French Quarter in 2012. This unusual partnership between a Chicago-based chef, Rick Tramanto, and our own beloved Cajun chef John Folse made everyone curious. How would this work? Very well, as it turns out. The blending of these two talents has produced a restaurant you go to when you want to impress people. And are ready to pay for it. R’evolution elevated fine dining beyond its highest peaks locally. The big-city influence brought little touches like ottomans for lady’s handbags, and service at the top levels. Each of the stunning rooms offers its own “wow” factors, with food to match. And prices too. Bar R’evolution has an enormously appealing vibe, It is small, with dark paneled walls and glass cases backlit to present interesting items of note. Everyone dining at R’evolution will first enter through the bar. And why not? It’s fab. This week, Bar R’evolution is adding another hour to its Happy Hour while Tales of The Cocktail is on. Starting at 4pm this week, guests can enjoy drinks for $5-$7 and bar bites from $7-$21. Here you will find special brews, wines by the glass, and cocktails with a pre-Prohibition style. After Tales of the Cocktail these special Happy Hour prices will return to their usual hours: 5-7pm weekdays, noon-7 on Saturdays, and 10:30-7 on Sundays.
