[title type="h3"]Chef Soiree, Lots Of Food & Drink, Covington, This Sunday[/title]
For the past thirty-one years, the premier food and wine event on the North Shore has been Chef Soiree. It benefits the Youth Service Bureau of St. Tammany Parish, a volunteer organization that comes to the aid of at-risk young people. Since its first first year, the Soiree has brought together the best chefs and restaurants on the North Shore. This year, over 80 restaurants, caterers, and beverage distributors will take part. The wines alone make for an extensive tasting.
Chef's Soiree uses a great venue, too: Bogue Falaya Park, alongside the river. Live music supplied by five bands plays from several stages. Quite a party, and if you live on the North Shore, you're almost certain to see everyone you know.
As the name implies, the Soiree begins at five and goes until nine, this Sunday, March 15. The problem is getting tickets, which are nearly sold out at $145 each. They don't sell tickets at the gate, but you can also buy tickets by phone: 985-893-2570. They are also available at these stores:
