It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well, not especially, as I stick to a three day a week minimum of Mexican dining regardless of the season. But today, we can all share my passion for all things Mex, Tex, or involving copious lime juice.
You already know there’ll be great specials at your favorite Mexican restaurants, but in my well-versed opinion, a Mexican joint is about the worst place to go today. Believe it or not, you won’t be the only one who thought South of the Border dining was brilliant on this very hyped holiday, and all the Mexican restaurants will be too busy resulting in sub-par food and (in normal times) overwhelmed servers and long waits.
So, if you weren’t swayed by my fabulous flank steak and salsa verde from the dining diary, or maybe don’t feeling like celebrating over 2 hours of dishes as I did, here’s 12 non-Mexican places offering Cinco de Mayo specials, all open for takeout and many now with outdoor dining. Vamos!
