One of the oddities of the Coolinary program every summer is that not many Italian restaurants participate in it, even though a number of them create specials, discounted for the season. Here is an example of that. Owner and chef Lenny Minutello operates one of the best restaurants in restaurant-starved Harahan, making the Happy Italian very welcome. But his summer menu, while an excellent value, prices every entree individually, inclusive of an a choice of starters and four desserts. These numbers range from $20 to $35. The range of raw materials explains that. The veal dishes are at the top of the price spectrum, and the pastas at the bottom. All are good, however, and will feed you well. Here's the list, with some of my recommendations marked with >.
