Duck Breast With Blackberry Demi-Glace @ Annadele Plantation

From the time it opened in the late 1990s, Annedele Plantation has had a traditional Creole tilt to its menu, with a certain rustic quality, as if hunters just rode out of the woods along the Bogue Falaya River after shooting a few game birds. This is a well-seasoned duck with a bacon-smoky, intense reduction of duck stock and blackberries. Sweet potato hash completes a dish that's especially perfect with fall weather, but good all the time.
