Home And Office.
Something I like about getting back to the work routine after vacation is that, even when I have an enormous pile of backload to excavate, I look forward to doing so. Whoever said that the man for whom work is his hobby is the happiest of men is right--despite the occasional disadvantages of being a workaholic.
So I enjoyed a thoroughly average day. My normal breakfast, with the chicory café au lait I have missed for two weeks. Wrote a Menu Daily newsletter, including the Twelve Restaurants On My Bucket List (as a result of a conversation I had with some of the Eat Clubbers on the ship). Then drove into town for the radio show. Had a couple of commercials to write and record at the end of that. Then straight home, where I had a slice of pizza left over from our sampling of RocketFire yesterday.
My stomach didn't like that idea. It was accustomed to eating much more lavishly on the ship, three meals a day. I will have to talk it down for a week or two.
