Ruth’s Chris is loved by nearly everyone locally, except the people who can’t forgive them for moving out of town. Even they agree that despite Ruth’s having gone all corporate on us (i.e., maybe nor as stellar as it was), this is still a very good steak with great sides in a beautiful steak-eating environment.
Personally, I dig the bar, especially at the Metairie location. Downtown is a more glamorous space in general, but the bar in Metairie is cozy and clubby and fun. It’s a little tough to get a table in there at happy hour because the deals are great. It’s going to get even tougher now with the introduction of Prime & Vine, weekdays and Sunday's.
This new limited-time promotion features a hand-crafted prime burger with Muenster Cheese, crispy onions, Nueske’s bacon, and bacon aioli with hand-cut fries and a glass of Orin Swift "Abstract", a special blend of Grenache, Syrah and Petit Syrah grapes.
