[title type="h3"]Prohibition Returns One Night Only; Drinks, Food To Be Served (Sshhh!)[/title]
Antoine's slate of activities during this, its 175th anniversary year, continue to be creative and fun. On Saturday, October 3, the venerable restaurant pretends that Prohibition is still in force. Now, the only thing missing during The Mad Twenties was wine, cocktails, and beer. Both during the original Prohibition years and this one night, the staff at Antoine's had special rooms and passageways so Antoine's regular could sip their favorite poisons. But they also had big bands, a dance floor, and open gambling.
Dress as if it were 1928, and have a wild evening rich with Antoine's food, wines, cocktails, and the swinging music of Jimmy Maxwell's big band, with Giselle Bonfaire. The Eat Club will claim a spot somewhere in the place and enjoy the fun. Make your reservation directly on line here.
The event is Saturday, October 3, from 7-10 p.m. The price is $150 inclusive. Information can be had at antoines.com or from Wendy at Antoine's: 504-581-4422. If you'd like to join me at my table, please call and let them know. At the event, I will be the guy wearing the fedora.
