Last year, I found a fantastic egg decorating kit in the ever-expanding Peeps line. It’s a bunny with an egg-shaped hole in its belly and a smiling face. An egg is placed in the cavity and a switch turned on, and little (or big) decorators use non-toxic markers to color a spinning egg. The only problem with this is that no one wants to stop, and who will eat all those eggs?

There was also a conventional kit or two in the house, and we dyed them that way first. Then we spun them, and the extra color dimension created some eggceptionally beautiful eggs. This year, there was too much excitement and impatience, and there were drawings made on the eggs first, so the finished product was a bit less stellar than last year. Also, the overall excitement got one or two eggs dropped, and I don’t recommend cracked eggs in the spinning contraption.
Anyway, I wanted to mention this find because I will never dye Easter eggs the same way again. Peeps partnered with a company that offers a spinning Christmas ornament gizmo. Anyone with kids or grandkids should try to find both. Great fun!
I hope you had a wonderful Easter and are having a swell spring holiday.
