[title type="h3"]Summer Is Still Coolinary @ Bayona[/title].
The Coolinary season, I keep telling you, is officially over. But some restaurants (Pelican Club, Cafe Giovanni, Flaming Torch, Andrea's and others) are still running the $39-or-less three-coursers.

Entrance to Bayona on Dauphine Street.[/caption]One of the most welcome summer menus is the $36 dinner at Bayona. This summer makes twenty-five years since Susan Spicer's fine restaurant Bayona opened. They are celebrating this by going nuts on the number 25. Lunch begins with twenty-five-cent martinis, Manhattans and lemondrops. It continues through three highly edible courses for $25. You get the carefully-constructed Bayona salad or the day's soup, then a choice of three entrees. And dessert. This lunch deal is on Wednesdays through Fridays.
Also available is a special three-course dinner menu for $36. It's similar to the lunch offering, but nudged up a bit. The famous tapenade with eggplant caviar is an added appetizer. The entrees change daily (the one I'm looking at calls for a peppered lamb loin, sweetbreads or the fish of the day). This $36 dinner special is along the Coolinary lines. It's available Monday through Thursday, until the end of the month.
