It was a spirited show last December when Alex Hitz called in to talk about his new book, The Art Of The Host. I stepped out for the day, and Ali Loftin jumped in the co-host chair, unprepared for fireworks that came unexpectedly. Turns out hosting a dinner party can be very controversial. Alex should know, he is a celebrity chef and host who has appeared on many national television shows and is a contributing author in publications like Departures and Vanity Fair, as well as Town & Country, to name just a few. His first book, Beverly Hills Kitchen was such a success he followed it with this new one, The Art Of The Host. This is a gorgeous book filled with anecdotes about his very interesting life from his Southern roots, his time in the restaurant business, and in the world of celebrity entertaining. All of this with recipes that wow.
If you would like to meet Alex, he will be at the Beauregard-Keyes House And Garden for a book signing and reception today.
