The Onslaught Of Vacation.
There is no longer any question about it: we are going to The Homestead on a family vacation next week. I thought this plan might fall apart of its own complexity and expense, but Mary Ann is an unstoppable force.
I spent the day at home bringing all my ongoing jobs into a stable state. The two big jobs are getting the radio show's pieces in place so we can run best-of shows (a.k.a. reruns) without missing any commercials. Missing commercials is a major sin in the radio business. I also have to publish the New Orleans Menu at least sporadically. If I stop writing for several days, I get a lot of e-mail wondering about my fate. But both these are a good problems.
We didn't go out to eat, but instead made sandwiches of the prosciutto and provolone Norma and Joe brought to the radio show a couple of days ago. I have to ask them about the source of that cheese. I cannot remember a better provolone.
