A good time will be had by all tomorrow morning at Audubon Park Shelter 10, when the Krewe of Tucks presents its 3rd annual Umbrella Walk & Gumbo Gras. We have never been to this, but we will be there tomorrow, as judges for what I am told is 14 gumbos. This is yeoman’s work but someone has to do it. And the gumbos will be further judged by anyone who comes, because coins will be provided for tossing in a jar so you can get to vote for your favorite. There will be bands and a second line around the park. An umbrella comes with your ticket. Great fun for the whole family.
Proceeds from the event Saturday will go to the following beneficiaries: The ALS Foundation, Magnolia Community Services, Children’s Hospital, and Krewe de Camp.
