EatingNowSquare [title type="h3"]Virtual Summer Mediterranean Cruise, Vega Tapas Cafe.[/title] Vega Tapas Cafe is back on its annual summer Tour Of The Mediterranean. It's the seventeenth year for this eight-week-long odyssey through all the major cuisines along the shores of the Med. Great idea, since all those places--despite their tremendous cultural and geographical differences--have many flavors in common. Each menu consists of four tapas-size courses and a specialty cocktail for $35. The logical cruise begins this week in Israel. Next week, it moves to Greece. Here's the rest of the schedule: [title type="h5"]July 20: Morocco July 27: Italy Aug 3: Egypt Aug 10: France Aug 17: Tunisia Aug 24: Spain[/title] All the special menus are offered at dinner Monday through Saturday. Paired wines are available at a reasonable price. I don't know whether they're stamping special "passports" to show how many of the dinners you attended. Although there's been a change in owners since last year's Med cruise, chef Will Sampson is still in the kitchen, and the good eating has not been interrupted.
