People ask us on the radio about specials around town, even when the Coolinary or Restaurant Week specials are gone. There are a few that remain constant, and these give everyone a chance to affordably experience one of the places that make New Orleans a world-class restaurant city.
It is wonderful that my favorite restaurant welcomes everyone to experience its delights year-round with its lunch special. The new Winter Lunch Menu (pictured) is especially good.
It’s a three-course affair with interesting choices in each course. Three chargrilled oysters, a loaded potato soup, or a festive holiday salad comprise the first set of options. Entrees are no less interesting, featuring Shrimp and Grits, Grilled Sirloin, or a Frenched Chicken Breast. Two delicious holiday-inspired dessert options await: Eggnog Bread Pudding or Sweet Potato Cheesecake. All of this for their signature calendar year price of $20.19. Hurry in though, because the price jumps next year, to $20.20.
But the best reason to get in there this holiday season is to see their gorgeous Christmas decorations, a special treat in itself. As I have so often said, I love Antoine’s. But I especially love it during the holidays.
If you still haven’t experienced the oldest restaurant in America right here in our city, go see it for yourself at this outstanding price.
