Virtually the only restaurant in the large River Ridge area, Mimi's is a neighborhood-style cafe with a mostly New Orleans-Italian menu and a dedicated regular clientele that keeps the place pretty near full. The food is very familiar and comfortable, but not what I'd call inspired. The seafood is the best of it. Prices are low, portions are giant. The smallish dining room is decorated with original murals by the celebrated local artist Leo Meiersdorff, who specializes in food and jazz themes.
